Stop the F-35

With total program costs of over ONE TRILLION dollars, the F-35 is the most expensive weapons systems ever pursued, period.

As a stealth bomber, it is not a defense system, but a deep penetration attack weapon.  Low end individual costs for the F-35 A are upward of $181 MILLION per unit, not including R & D costs - and not including the costs of fuel and repairs.

At a time when the powers that be are slashing public welfare programs and crying that the US is going broke, it is time to get real and acknowledge what is really crippling our country - the obscene amounts of money WE are paying to private contractors like Lockheed Martin to build weapons systems that neither support nor defend us in any real capacity.

Invest in America - invest in our schools, libraries, roads, bridges, hospitals - invest in our youth by providing them every opportunity - invest in our Veterans by ensuring that we have the funding to provide them quality health care and timely resolution of claims for service connection and other benefits.

Our budget is finite.

How we spend it is up to us - or it should be.

What are our priorities?
